There’s something powerful about the start of a new year. A collective pause, a deep breath, and a quiet curiosity about what’s ahead. We recently hosted a New Year happy hour aura photography pop-up, and it was exactly the kind of intentional, feel‑good gathering we love creating: relaxed, welcoming, and centered on connection, reflection, and fresh energy.
Set in a casual happy hour atmosphere, this pop‑up invited guests to check in with themselves, celebrate where they are right now, and step into the year ahead with clarity and color.

Many guests arrived with a “new year, new aura” mindset, curious to see how their energy showed up at the start of a fresh chapter. Past clients returning for another aura photo, eager to compare how their energy has shifted over time was so much fun to see. We loved getting to talk about about goals, growth, rest, change, and everything in between.

One of our favorite moments from the pop‑up was capturing an aura portrait of a guest with her pug, Fonzie. Including pets in aura photos is always special. They’re family, after all. And sweet Fonzie brought an extra layer of joy and personality to the experience.
Pet aura portraits add a playful, heartfelt element while also capturing the shared energy between humans and their four‑legged companions. The result was a portrait that felt both lighthearted and deeply personal.

Aura photography and the new year pair beautifully together. It creates space for intention without pressure and reflection without judgment. At this pop‑up, guests weren’t focused on becoming someone new. They were simply curious about understanding themselves a little better.
Aura photography offers:
Watching guests connect with their portraits reminded us that growth doesn’t always look loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s subtle. Sometimes it’s colorful. And sometimes it’s just about being present.

Events like this are at the heart of why we created I Do Auras. We believe celebrations — big or small — are opportunities to slow down, connect, and honor meaningful moments as they’re happening.
This New Year happy hour pop‑up was a beautiful reminder that aura photography isn’t just for milestones like weddings and baby showers. It’s also perfect for:
Wherever people come together with intention, aura photography has a way of enhancing the moment.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us to start the year in such a thoughtful, joyful way — and to Fonzie, who absolutely stole the show.
If you’re planning an event and want to offer your guests something elevated, interactive, and meaningful, aura photography may be the perfect addition. We’d love to help you create an experience that captures not just how it looks, but how it feels.
