Aura photography uses a specialized camera to capture double exposure portraits of you and a visual representation of your personal energy, all on one polaroid photograph. The result is a beautiful memento allowing you to see your beautiful energy on a core memory kind of day.

After we make it official for your event date, we'll send a questionnaire to help us gather all the info we need to know to prepare for your event and an above-and-beyond guest experience for you and your loved ones.

This unique experience is something your guests will continue to talk about for a long time. Taking home a beautiful one of a kind polaroid portrait, and getting to connect with other guests about their own auras will be memorable for all! You'll get to enjoy an online gallery with digital copies of all your guests auras so you can look back on and bask in all the joyful energy that surrounded you on the big day!
We hired I Do Auras for our wedding and the aura photobooth was a hit! We wanted to bring our guests a unique experience at our wedding reception, and everyone of all ages enjoyed it!!! It was so fun to see our guests different auras, and Jen & Ryan were absolutely phenomenal facilitators and explained the process to anyone who hasn't gotten their aura photo taken before (including my wife and I)! They kept the energy high and were so amazing to us and our guests. It makes me so happy that we have these personalized keepsakes to look back on our special day, and we get to see such a special version of ourselves and our guests compared to just having normal photo booth photos. Everyone was so intrigued by their aura portraits and thrilled to take home something meaningful and beautiful. So many of our guests ended up taking multiple- solo, with their partner, with friends- because it was just that cool. I had the best time with my friends taking our aura photos with Jen and Ryan!! They're truly so passionate about the art of aura photography and they bring so much positive, uplifting energy to the whole experience. Having no understanding of aura photography before this, I learned so much through my experience. They really took the time to interpret my Polaroid picture from the colors to the structure and all the small details I wouldn't have recognized myself. The entire process was exciting, efficient, fun, and so memorable! They shared helpful insight for our friends and provided additional resources to dive in further! We use a specialized camera (the Aura Camera 6000) that uses a double exposure technique to capture your portrait and a visual representation of your personal energy all on one polaroid photograph.
The camera works using a process called biofeedback. A person places their hands on metal sensors that are connected to the camera. These sensors take measurements like electrical conductivity, temperature, moisture, etc. from the skin. The camera translates these measurements into colors which are recorded onto the polaroid. The colors represent a person's aura, which is an electromagnetic field that surrounds the body.
If desired, you will receive a digital copy of all the aura photos taken at your event! Your guests will take home the original polaroid prints!
You absolutely can! We can accommodate all different kinds of events! A small bachelorette party, 30th birthday, baby shower, wedding, you name it! We're available for events of all types & sizes! Reach out via our contact form and we can chat through options and logistics!
The process takes only a couple minutes! The person being photographed will need to sit still with their hands on our metal plate sensors for about 10-15 seconds while the photo is being taken. The polaroid film will then take a couple minutes to develop. But don't worry, if your guest's favorite song comes on while the photo is developing, they can head back to the dance floor and pick up their photo on their next beverage break!
The colors in your aura photo are believed to reflect your current emotional, mental, and spiritual state. Auras are dynamic and can change over time. It's important to remember that these are interpretations, not so much a definitive diagnosis or prediction. Think of them as a snapshot of your energy at a particular moment! (Which is why we think it's so special to see & record it at such highlight moments of your life!)
We'll provide a digital color guide along with each photograph so that you & your guests are able to conveniently reference the color interpretations and learn more about your aura photo long after the dance floor closes down!
